Stone & Wood Brewery

If you haven't visited Australia, then you are more than likely to have not been lucky enough to taste my absolute favourite beer.

Stone & Wood are an independent brewing and bottling company based in Byron Bay - and it's not a coincidence that this is also my favourite location in the whole of Australia! The way of living in Byron Bay combined with a crisp Pacific Ale is what life is all about.

Finished catching a wave? Enjoying some live street music? Chilling on the beach? At the pub or socialising with friends, a bottle of Stone & Wood (or can) is what you need to make your time a whole lot sweeter.

We arrived at the brand new Stone & Wood Brewery and were welcomed at the bar with two pints of Garden Ale - made for chilling in your garden, this was a perfect start to the tour. We sat and enjoyed our ice cold beers whilst we waited for the rest of the group to arrive.

The tour was so insightful, not only about the beers in general and how they were made, but about the company and it's values and how they work really closely with their employees and the local community. They do so much charity work and offer keg donations to local pubs and venues to help raise money for the chosen organisations.

After being shown around the shiny new brewery, we sat down at a reserved table for the group and enjoyed an easel of five different beers. My personal favourite has always been the Pacific Ale but some of these were so different! One even tasted like coffee...

At the end of the tour, we were able to get what Mark had been dying to buy - a Stone & Wood T-shirt! I wanted a glass but unfortunately they were sold out so I guess that gives me an excuse to take another trip to Byron Bay again.

Until next time!
